I wrote the first part of this song when I was 17 during a long hot, dry spell we had that summer. It’s reminiscent to the kind of songs my mum taught me as a child. I never wrote it down but it always stuck with me so I added the other two parts for this album. I remember loving songs with different parts like this as a child and would spend hours making up all sorts of parts to songs. I hope this song inspires children who have an ear for parts and helps support harmony building in their singing and playing.
